Trenchless Sewer Repair
Sewer lines can be damaged by everything from ground soil movement to the growth of tree roots and more. When your home’s sewer line is damaged, this critical pipe is unable to carry wastewater away from the home as intended. The result can be extensive property damage, the inability to remove wastewater from the home, and health issues if you and your family come in contact with the sewage waste. Through trenchless sewer repair service, we can quickly and thoroughly address this serious problem.

Signs of Sewer Line Damage
Depending on the type and the severity of the sewer line damage, you could notice several warning signs throughout the home that should receive your immediate attention. This could include slow drainage in all of the home’s drains, visible waste flowing back up through the toilet or drains, and an unpleasant smell of sewer water. If the line is cracked in the soil underneath your lawn, you could notice sewage water puddling in one area. The grass may be soggy or exceptionally lush in the area around the sewer line leak.
If you are experiencing any of these signs of sewer line damage at your home, then it’s best to contact a sewer line plumber immediately. In special circumstances, you might be able to repair the sewer line without having to replace it or perform any other sort of service. If you do need a sewer line replacement, then trenchless sewer line replacement technology is usually your best bet.

The Trenchless Sewer Line Replacement Process
Your plumber will initially inspect the sewer line using a camera system. When the location of the damage has been located visually, the plumber will run the replacement pipe material through the existing pipe. This new material expands to take the place of the damaged pipe. At the same time, it secures perfectly with the remaining sewer line. The result is a replacement pipe that is just as durable as the original sewer line without needing to physically access the damaged area through a trench.

How Does Trenchless Sewer Repair Work?
Trenchless sewer line replacement is an innovative method for replacing sewer lines with minimal digging and disruption to your yard. This technique offers a more efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional open trench excavation methods, where the line is dug up and replaced. There are two primary methods for trenchless sewer replacement: pipe bursting and pipe lining. Let’s explore both below:
- Pipe Bursting: In pipe bursting, a guide head, or bursting head, is attached to a new pipe, and then a pulling cable is fed through the old pipe. The bursting head is pulled through the existing pipe using a hydraulic winch or other pulling equipment. As the bursting head moves through the old pipe, it fractures and displaces the pipe material while simultaneously pulling the new pipe into place. The new pipe is then seamlessly installed in the same path as the old pipe.
- Pipe Lining or CIPP: Pipelining, also known as cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, involves inserting a flexible, resin-coated tube (liner) into the existing pipe. Once the liner is in place, it is inflated, and the resin cures, forming a new pipe within the old one. This new pipe is resistant to leaks, corrosion, and tree root intrusion, and it can restore the structural integrity and water flow capacity of the original pipe.
The Benefits of Trenchless Sewer Repair
A damaged sewer line requires prompt attention from a plumber. While some plumbers will replace the sewer pipe, we offer a trenchless sewer line replacement service.
Physically replacing the pipe requires plumbers to dig a large trench through the yard to access the pipe. This causes unnecessary damage to landscaping and other yard features. It also can be unnecessarily time-consuming and expensive.
The trenchless repair process can be just as effective as a pipe replacement, and it will be completed faster and without damaging your yard.
